It isn't objectively better, it's all down to personal preference and your own physical limitations. It's also affected by the shape of the controller as well. The shape of the 360 controller lends itself better to the top placement because it's designed for it to fit snugly in your hand. A PS3 controller is smaller and designed to be held loosely to allow easier movement to different areas of the controller, with the 'rest state' having your thumbs symmetrical and your hands relaxed. I prefer the DS3 for that reason, but I find nothing wrong with the 360 layout (although I often joke about it ). The biggest problem with the 360 controller is and always be the d-pad.Full Metal Bolshevik said:Bad decision, Xbox controller is objectivly better. Even Wii U pro controller seems way better. And this coming from someone who has way more hours with Dualshock than 360 controllers.
I think they meant 'in Sony's DNA', it's a figure of speech.Icehearted said:No it is not, our natural rested state is in our DNA, which for me is actually higher up than those things, basically inverting both sticks with the dpad and buttons. But you can't fight your nature, and Aoki admits that "[having the two sticks symmetrical on the left and right sides] is kind of in our DNA.
