I'm wondering what kind of tech Sony's going to try and corner the market with. What's it's gimmick?

Like, the PS1 was a decent CD player, the PS2 competed with DVD players, the PS3 was downright cheaper than stand alone BluRay players and the PS4 had the advantage of Microsoft completely FUBARing their own product and Nintendo deciding to do its own thing.

I think the big thing for Ps5 is going to be about loading and install times. I read that somewhere. They want 4k/30fps with install times that let you play the game the same day you put the disc into the system.

All that and specs? Sony has come out swinging.

If this is where the new battlefield lays, I'm happy to see it. I may actually go for a new console this time instead of remaining pc only (even if it hurts so bad to miss out on Bloodborne for so long).

Yahtzee and I don't always see eye to eye but one thing I've always agreed with is the argument that consoles are awesome because they're pick up and play - or used to be at least. I used to hate pcs because of how hard it was back in 3.1 and before to even get a game working, thats why I eventually bought my first playstation. Over time they load and install times grew for consoles, and compatibility bullshit reduced for pcs and there stopped being a good reason to pick a console over a pc. Its nice to see that shift back a bit.

And I still don't have one for my own because I am holding off for the PS5 being Backwards Compatible.

I really want to play Bloodborne though.
