So I'm in the market to buy a new PS4 in the UK. I'm wondering if there is any particular bundle that you guys would recommend.

I see that the white console is now available and I'm wondering if it is a new build machine, i,e upgraded disc drive, better power supply yadda yadda that normally comes with buying a newer version of a console. Or am I okay buying any relatively new console bundle but in the regular black? (best I've seen is PS4 with Destiny and Watch Dogs (special edition) from GAME for £389.99)

Is it best to wait for a potential price drop in the console itself as usually happens a year into lifespan? Is that likely to happen soon?

I don't really have my ear to the ground on this sort of thing anymore so if any of you know any details and can share some wisdom, that'd be sweet :)

Hello,

The Glacier White PS4 has the same specs to my knowledge. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's not actually an upgrade, just a variant.

I'm not a big fan of the bundles, perhaps because I rarely spend $60 USD on a game. The PS4 pops up for $360 USD on a good deal pretty often now; I'd look for that personally. I'd rather do that than wait on a potential price drop, the PS4 is finally getting a lot of good content, and I'll bet this price point is going to stick through the Christmas season.

I wouldn't splurge on the camera, though. That little gadget does nothing but gather dust on my bookshelf.

A little friendly advice. Do not buy Watch_Dogs, its the game the word boring was invented for.

I would avoid the bundles entirely. They might look good on the surface as the console will pretty much cost the same in store or online, and the premium you pay the the bundle will be less than the cost of the individual items. However, chances are in any bundle there will be at least one thing you wouldn't actually buy. So take the remaining things you would, cost them from a variety of retailers and you can probably get them for less than the bundle premium. Also, consider second hand games and/or digital download when costing the software.
