I hope this goes here. Just found this [http://thenextweb.com/industry/2011/05/18/not-so-fast-sonys-playstation-network-hacked-again/].

The gist of it:
Hackers have found (amd seemingly already used) an exploiut in Sonys password/account information change system for PSN and Quoricity, which means that they may be able to change your PSN account info with just the email adress and date of birth, both of which were obtained by the previous hack.

Sony allegedly took down their change system, but the online capabilities of the PS{3|P} seem to be still working.

Can anyone confirm if the system is indeed down? Not having a PS3 and not knowing where my PSP is I can't check myself.

Can't confirm but how does this count as a hack? It´s an exploit I give you that.

It's hardly an hack, it's just a flaw of the system, and every other password reset system.

Edit: Looks like I was late posting, ehehe.

Oh, overlooked the original article, sorry.

One thing: If it has an exploit, and that exploit is used, then a system is hacked. Every hack is based on flaws in the system. If it wasn't, there would be no hacking.

A hack is forcing the system to do something it normally can't do. This isn't that, this is a situation where you can do something you're not SUPPOSED to be able to do normally. It's a bug with the way they made the system, nobody attacked it and turned it into that.
