Well, for those of you in Europe, I don't know about the Americans.

It fixed for my friend's just shortly after the clock ticked through to the 2nd of March, proving it's a leap year issue.

Haven't played my PS3 today or yesterday, so I guess I'll just use the 360 until March 2.

How bizarre for it to crop up now. Was it tied to a firmware update? Otherwise wouldn't this have occurred in 2009 as well?

There was an update pushed through on Saturday, I believe, but it may be tied to 2010. At the turn of the year, many till systems screwed up and thought it was something like 2016 or something (Wouldn't accept card transactions thinking the cards were out of date, etc.) so there may be a number of bugs related to 2010 in general.
