Would make sense, since Demon's Souls' online system is actually pretty damn unique. So, beta testing a new and improved version would be pretty important.

That said, pity the poor saps who planned to release PSN-only games in the last month.

Right, by "more robust" you probably mean lobbies and voice chat, yea?

Well screw that stuff. DS has the best online component I know.

If you want to talk to your beer guzzling buddies, call them on the phone.

Oh, that's too bad. I already preordered the limited edish :)
What they've said before kind of contradicts that, fortunately:

Yeah, I'll be trying Dark's Soul's on the 360. I hope it's a tad more friendly than it's predecessor.
If by Friendlier you mean easier? Then no, Dark Souls will be harder than Demon's Souls. :D
I too hope it will be friendlier than Demon's Souls, and by that I don't mean easier. I mean a tutorial that covers more than the basic controls, English on the stats screens instead of obnoxious symbols that make me keep the manual open next to me so I can translate, a pause button (no excuse not to have this if I'm playing alone), and the ability to save and quit mid-dungeon to a save file that can only be loaded once before it deletes itself in case something comes up in the middle of a game.

What I played of Demon's Souls wasn't particularly hard. It was just extremely unfriendly towards the player, and now they have a chance to keep the real difficulty in while throwing the fake difficulty out. I hope they take it, because the fake difficulty turned me off from playing Demon's Souls any further than I did (well, that and all the grinding I would have needed to do to continue x_x).

Dark Souls for he 360? The ps3 games I've missed out on were infamous and demon souls. This is great news. (Yes, I know I'm missing the big picture. :p)

No. NO! Can't play games online? Fine I'll play split screen or single player. Shit goes on for weeks? Fine I just bought a lot of games to get through, it'll take me some time, I'll live. DELAY DARK SOULS, SEQUEL TO THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE EVER!? NO GOD DAMN IT! JUST NO!

In all seriousness, Demon's Souls completely shocked me. I thought I'd hate it but bought it out of a nagging curiosity and it instantly jumped to the top of my "Best Games Ever" list, trumping long time king Ocarina of Time. I have never, EVER, wanted to play a game so bad as I want to play Dark Souls. I have been essentially drooling with anticipation. It's also going to be the first time I go for a collector's edition (although in this case since it's the same price as the normal game that's not a real commitment but had there been a more expensive version I would've bought it) because I loved Demon's Souls and I'm 100% positive that I'll love this. I was able to tolerate the PSN breach bullshit up until now, but if it delays my playtime with Dark Souls, I will get legitimately pissed.

Thanks! That is great news!!

Although, the snippet below makes me a little anxious:

There?s an overarching tension to the story too, as over the course of the game your character?s mind deteriorates. ?If the mind becomes too far gone then the character will become a zombie or monster,? explains Miyazaki.
Because, I got all that, and more, from Demons Souls. I don't think additional exposition is what the story needed.

Lets see.
