So I had some extra cash on my PSN account so I figured I'd buy some HD movies to see how they looked with the new HDMI cable and TV I had just bought myself.
So after buying 5 movies, I went to download them and was given a "Connect storage media at the save destination" message. Confused at why this was happening, I figured it must be something to do with Sony's DRM. However, once I connected my external drive, all the files downloaded within 5 seconds. All I have on my drive are some 5kb MNV files.
So, I tried to download them again by going to my 'Previous Downloads' list but the files are not listed, and it turns out the only records I have of actually purchasing them are the emails I was sent to notify me of my purchase.
Sony Customer Support has also been useless, telling me in an email that 'Some files cannot be played on the PS3' I'm calling Sony this afternoon, but I was curious if anyone else has run into similar problems or knows how this might have happened.
Thanks
