Agreed the touch screen would become a major gimic which would turn it into another DS and tbh i'm not overly fond of mine.letsnoobtehpwns said:i pray it doesn't have a touch screen. usually touch screens just get in the way and piss me off!

I think a new psp would be sweet, i have the original PSP 1001 lol. With that said, i think maybe some new games with better graphics would be a better start, this way they might be able to get more people to buy a new one if they c a good game and dont have a PSP. It seems like the PSP has somewhat gone underground, there have been quite a few games i would like to c for the PSP, some sort of paintball game especially.
the touchcreen thing is abit of a downer. If people heard that it would have one could create some hype. But everyone here thinking a touch screen would be the major selling point of the game and all games would use that. but I'm just saying if they did have a touch screen the snart thing for sony to do would be to make a bonus to make interface easier. Who here can deny that their are some parts of a menu or something that would be easir to use if you could just touch.shatnershaman said:Sony has already said that they are not working on a PSP 2 right now.

And that there is no touchscreen PSP coming out.

Firefly90 Resistance Retribution will have vastly improved remote play other than that and Lair though remote play is useless.

Nice, but thats not what i was on about, i was on about the psp function that allows you connect to the ps3 and remotely operate it via the internet from say an internet cafe.shatnershaman said:Firefly90 Resistance Retribution will have vastly improved remote play other than that and Lair though remote play is useless.

Touchscreens are "in" right now, so I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.joystickjunki3 said:A touch screen maybe? [/sarcasm (altho it is possible)]
What I meant by "allow homebrew" I meant actually take some of the good mods that would only improve functionality and use them. The game burning software is a problem yes and I would never use such a thing if i had CFW, but if sony properly licensed some of those ideas..WOW would that ever be great.Soulx said:Thats a pretty nice list of features their, but I doubt they are going to allow homebrew. Theirs nothing wrong with it and it's actually a good idea, but they probably won't. To allow everyone to be able to make their own programs for a system like this just screams the word "hack". IT would only be amatter of time before someone makes something that could really mess up the PSP.
Well your in luck because one is being made for the PSP.one AAA game isn't enough especially considering there is no Motorstorm PSP game).
NO NO NO save that for the psp2. Implementing it now would be BAD DESIGN and marketing this late in the things life.Hopefully a real revamp (dual sticks) in the form of a PSP-4000
I doubt that, while the PSP might not be too hot over here unfortunately, it has done well everywhere else. The problem with support for the thing is because everyone knows Nintendo and their system make money, so devs always take the safe route. I normally don't blame piracy for game related problems..but when it comes to the PSP I have to partially blame pirates for a somewhat lack of support while the other half of the blame falls on third party devs and Sony's marketing.Angus Young said:Actualy an article in the last game informer said they're talking about dropping the PSP not replacing it

I know that would be amazing, but Sony would never do it. Their would be so many legal issues.Yes indeed we need hot pocets. Maybe a mini-fridge.Jagers1994 said:Microwave
I know this would probably never happen but I think it would be really cool if Sony were to sign a deal with Fox or ABC or something to allow them to stream TV on the PSP.
Or they could make a deal with verizon to have a built in wireless broadband connector so you can go on the internet at anytime or anyplace.
Soulx said:Actually...they DO have a TV tuner type device. Problem is it's only in Japan and it picks up on a wireless network they have set up over there.-Seraph- said:What I meant by "allow homebrew" I meant actually take some of the good mods that would only improve functionality and use them. Tanking? Oh no, The PSP still makes money, just not as much as they would want/need. My guess it would all depend on how much money they are making and the current economy.LiL said:"blessed"? last i checked the thing was tanking, if they have to pull it off the market i doubt sony will make a second one
