A friend of mine is considering buying a psp go, but they are more of a casual gamer. So they are wondering if they could just go like msn games or something and play/download games. Would that work?

If he's a casual player, he'd probably be better off with a DS. But if he's got his heart set on a PSP, it would probably be better if he just bought a normal PSP; they can hold data with the memory cards and play physical copies as well. Also, Sony added a whole bunch of "casual" minigames through the store called "miniz", but I've never felt inclined to buy any of them. Then again, they're relatively cheap, and your friend might appreciate them.
