Just thought id ask as i couldn't find a thread for it though its probably already been done.

At this moment im watching my 3yr old rabbit acting strange. She is stamping her foot as a warning and looking and bouncing around the living room terrified of something i can't see. I've never seen her act like this, at first i thought she was hurt but having checked her over she seems fine. Now im wondering if she senses something wrong that i can't detect.
Funnily to do with danger i was almost hit by a car who was purposly aiming for me (and put their foot down) when i was on way home from the shops. Maybe death is trying to come back for me, or else maybe i've been watching too much of Final Destination.

Anyway, have you ever had a psychic pet who maybe detected or sensed something wrong (or maybe right)?

Whenever we see our cats staring intently at nothing, it turns out we just didn't see the bug they were actually staring at.

(Well, not the cat, obviously, he's just pissed at the wall... or is it the wall? [epic music here])
Yeah i often get my cat sitting in my room watching the same corner of my room quite often. I sometimes wonder if its a dead relative watching me... no wonder i get nightmares.

Remember the tsunami that hit Asia and killed about 300,000 people a few years back? You know what they didn't find among the mess of destroyed buildings and dead people? Dogs and cats. They all felt the tremor coming and scampered before the wave hit.

Dogs and cats (probably) aren't "psychic", more like they have better instincts and senses, and are therefore better tuned into things that humans have learned to ignore. A big-ass wave makes quite a noise when you've got ultrasonic hearing.

Have you been watching the documentary that was on? Coz its funny that you said that, my mum was watching a documentary on it earlier. I refused to watch because it was depressing and sad to see it and it always makes me cry.

I've never seen a documentary about the tsunami, probably because I don't watch TV. I do know a bit about it though because I live close to it and my country got hit with some of it (although to fairly minor extent given the virtually zero population density of the area that took the brunt of the wave).

One of my cat actually growls at nothing. I think she's just mad cos she got pregnant and ruined her figure just so all but one of her kittens could be given away (around the neighbourhood) and now she's all fat. But she is inredibly angry some of the time.
she's just really fluffy but damn she looks fat in that fur.

wow...erm, not sure what to say to that... We've never been hit by floods of any kind yet alone a tsunami around my end. Some local towns, though still quite a few miles away, have had some bad flooding that cost lives and homes. But so far this town hasn't ever been hit by anything major or dangerous (though ive dreamt of it many times and fear for what will happen when the worst strikes)

I have this irrational fear that my cat is plotting my "untimely" demise...

The pet's psychic, but animals are more intuitive and can sense things we can't. Perhaps there's a ghost nearby.

My dog does this all the time. He'll just start barking or staring at a particular spot and will circle around a spot.

My dog barks maniacly when people go past our house, even if they are a few 100meters away, though that's not so much psychic as hyper.

It is a cat... of course it is. The only way you can save yourself is to beg and grovel at it's paws so it thinks your harmless to the plans at world domination.

How could this happen? People keep dogs as pets right? They're stuck at home with those people. How could they survive when those people didn't? Or maybe.., teleportation?

In the high-density population areas of south-east asia, strictly-indoor pets are not a big thing. If a dog or cat has any means of egress, and it feels a big ass wave coming, you bet it will leave. It will do whatever it can. Or maybe teleportation, yes.

You don't understand, I'm not joking. I wake up and it will be standing over me, looking at my face, and when it notices I see him, he immediately lays down and pretends to sleep.

I don't buy into the whole 'animals have a 6th sense' dealie. I think sometimes, just like people, they like to piss about.
