Now here's a genre that hasn't gotten as much attention as it should, the psychobilly genre. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a genre evolved from rockabilly and punk rock, as well as rock n' roll and garage rock. Anyone here familiar with it? And in that case, what do you think of it? And what bands would you recommend to the others?

I love psychobilly music, has such a great rock n' roll rhythm, but still differs from the genre with the singing and melody's. I like Nekromantix and Zombie Ghost Train. I'm also thinking about listening to Reverend Horton Heat and Klingonz. What's your impression of the genre?

I definitely prefer psychobilly to rockabilly, it's so much more fun to dance to. :)
My favourite band of the genre is King Kurt, which really is one of my favourite groups overall. Really obscure british band from the eighties, but they're so much fun! I'm too lazy to look up a video to post, but youtube do have quite a lot of 'em. They were known as the most messy band in Britain back in their golden days, my mum saw them live here in Denmark and can confirm it, they threw theatre paint around, flour, baked beans, etc. and all in all it's very good humoured music. The Meteors were fantastic as well!

Do it! I recommend Zombie Ghost Train and Nekromantix as stated before.
