I hate my species. I don't have enough fingers to count the number of people i would honestly throttle to death if i knew i could get away with it. And yet i'm generally very passive and calm. And i cannot abide people being mean to animals. In fact, i think i love the feline species more than my own. Is it strange that i am so disconnected from my emotions when it comes to humans and yet so deeply respectful of the right of other creatures to live. (I would be a vegetarian if i didn't like the taste of chicken so much.)

Am i loosing my marbles? (don't answer that)
Should i be locked away in an asylum? (don't answer that)
Are you the same way or not? (you can answer this one)

Edit: I got the chance to watch soldiers being beheaded on youtube before it was removed. And yet i didn't care. But the zippocat pictures (though some of you might remember me joking about them) actually shook me up a lot more. just one example of what i'm talking about.

Edit: oh yea, and my avatar in no way signifies emo-ness. Its a satire on being emo. Because i always do the pinky violin thing. Just saying.

No..People are assholes generally.
No. Its perfectly rational.
Yes i am the same way, more to my gender though, because most of them are masochistic bastards. Who are Offensive in all possible matters. Seriously intentional, not for a joke.

I think animals are not anywhere close to the evolutionary step as we are, and even though there are some people that seem dumb and you really want to kill them, it doesn't seem as bad as some dog shitting in your house, then eating it.

I am actually mostly the same way.
I regard animals as possessing a surreal innocence that humans can never achieve and care about them experiencing pain far more than I do humans.

Heh, exactly the same way. I'd pretty much give my life to save a cat, and if I could get away with it (Where is that license to kill I ordered?) then there would be a lot less people on this planet.

Yes, I'm worse. I'll smile and shake your hand, while in my head I'm playing through every possible way to kill you, and if the rammifacations are severe enough.

Uhm, yes it's strange. At least to me. But I'm a self-proclaimed speciesist, so I might be the wrong person to ask.

[small]Maybe?[/small]
[small]As long as you don't hurt other humans or yourself, certainly not.[/small]
Definitely not. I agree that we should protect the environment if we can, but PETA's, Green Peace's and other environmental groups' priorities are seriously fucked up if we protect animals before trying to solve the humanitarian issues at hand.
Seriously. Let a few more animals die and build wells and supply antibiotics with the money instead.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say I prefer another species better, I completely agree with you that people have started to get extremely annoying. You're not the only one who wants to throttle people. Animal cruelty is extremely depressing and angering.

So, no. Humans have just been acting like dicks for the past few hundred years or so, so hating them does not seem that strange. Animals, on the other hand, can't act like dicks the way humans do, thus, it's not very surprising that you are more emotionally attached to animals than humans.

I think from my answer, I have made it clear I agree with you, or at least understand where you are coming from. And no, losing your marbles definitely has nothing to do with these views, if you are indeed losing your marbles. Being new(ish) around here, I have not seen you around enough to tell.

I have HUGE pride in humanity so I doubt I should enter this discussion out of fear of starting an extremly heated arguement.
Really? Can you say why you have such pride? Because where i live sucked it all out of me quickstatus. I have nothing but contempt for us vile, cancerous, viral, parasitic, hairless apes.

I'd kill and eat anything for the sake of continuing my own existence. You and your cat are no exceptions.

The majority of you appear to be teenage/adult males. Your pain is not significant and I expect you'll grow out of it eventually. If you don't, oh well. Die unhappy, emo kid.

Really? You'll 'get rid of people' but save the life of something completely insignificant? There's something wrong with you. Then you'll turn right around and eat meat from an animal that suffered the ultimate pain? You don't respect other creatures, at least not to the extent that you think you do.

You should try not to half-ass your morals.

Yeah I'm basically the same xD
In movies I always get really upset if an animal gets hurt or dies, but if a human character does, eh.
D: But the poor animals! noooooooooo T_T

And yeah, I do have a lot of hate for certain people I know, but otherwise I'm generally a very laid back person~

Because we have defeated smallpox, build sanitation systems, went to the fucking moon, travel faster than any other animal ever could, have produced art, systems of justice and societies of peace, to name just a few.
Our generation lives in a paradise compared to what we had while we were still "natural".
I think we as a species earned our position of dominance.

...Are you listening to yourself? I definitely have to agree with BeeRye: You SERIOUSLY need to re-evaluate your life.

We are the most advanced lifeform on the planet
And yet of all the creatures, we seem the least regal. The most careless and destructive. We have exceeded our bounds and no longer need to fight amongst ourselves. We hold on to our competitive and destructive nature when we don't need to. We don't need to kill each other over resources any more, so what do we do? We find new reasons to kill. Its like we have this century based quota of death and carnage to meet. And it has nothing to do with surviving or thriving. Its always about trivial matters.

We can do great things. Yet so often we choose to do terrible things. We as a whole are monsters, and yet out of every pack of super mutants you can get a Fawks or an Uncle Leo.

Its the willingness of so many to ignore our untapped potential that makes me hate the majority of humans. We have lost our innocence, and have yet to gain our maturity. We are the angry screaming 13 year old Live gamer. We know how to commit horror, but we haven't grown out of it yet.

I'm pretty sure a psychologist would have a field day here. They might just publish the case study, who knows?

Being a misanthrope is nothing to get all throttley about, that just makes you yet another average example of the same self-absorbed nitwits you hate so much.

Theres a lot to be proud of in human achievement. You place the natural world and animals on a higher pedestal than us, its a great achievement of our species that you have time to do that. If it wasn't for the net sum of all human achievement, you'd be naked at a creek bed clubbing women and eating ticks off your brothers

If you want to live like that, there are a number of countries where that isn't so out of the ordinary.
