You're probably right. I'm one of those people who couldn't care less about great graphics (am still content with Nintendo 64 graphics), and good gameplay doesn't get old.Sir Kemper said:I have fond memeories of playing Psychonaughts on my old Xbox, *sigh* a simpler time....
*ahem* anyway, not quite sure how it holds up today, there are quite a few reviews of it online, but really the only way to truely know if it's you type of game would be to give it a shot yourself, although if you liked Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong you'll probably like Psychonaughts, the platformeing is fun and the setting is delightfully twisted, almost something Tim Burton-ish.
Dear god NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, be really careful I bought it off xbox live only to find out it wouldn't download properly. Basically this meant that if you didn't skip any of the cut-scenes the game would crash. I got lucky and was able to get it cheap in the steam sale, and their version works.DustyDrB said:I'm biding time until Mass Effect 2 and thinking about buying Psychonauts on Xbox Live. I've always loved platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64. How does Psychonauts hold up today? Worth a purchase? It's pretty cheap.
I played on the PC, and didn't find any major glitches. I was probably too in love with it to notice even if there are- but definitely nothing game-destroying.LoopyDood said:Sorry to thread jack, but are there any technical problems plaguing the PC version? I've seen complaints but I'm not entirely sure if there are.
