Calling all manga readers, I come to you with both a question and a recommendation! Has anyone ever heard of the manga PSYREN, by Toshiaki Iwashiro? If yes, what are your opinions on it? Who are your favourite characters? PSI abilities?
I ask simply because, in the three years since I read it, i've never met anyone who even knows what it is, and in my opinion it's incredibly enjoyable (albeit short) battle manga, with a good sense of humour and a few big ideas in the background. Unfortunately it trails off towards the end, as the author was forced to end the story from the middle in the space of about ten chapters, due to his impending cancellation. Even so, the ending makes sense, and is a fitting conclusion to the story.
I recommend this manga to anyone looking for an interesting, well drawn action manga, that is short enough to not overstay its welcome. (Yes, Bleach, I am looking at you)
Also anyone who enjoyed the art style and comedy of Beelzebub, as the author/ artist was a student if Iwashiro, and his style really rubbed off on him.
