If any of you guys knew me in real life, you'd know i'm the resident funny man as it were. It's just what I do, I have the knack to make people laugh. For years i've been told to try my hand at stand up comedy. I've done bits of live performance before including acting and presenting events and such, but this is scaring the shit outta me.

So I come to you, my fellow escapists, what advice do you possess in relation to live performance? Any other budding comics?

Umm, just stay relaxed. Everyone says that, and it sounds trite and all, but it's really the truth. I'm not a comic or anything, but I did a couple of local commercials as a kid, and I acted in the local theatre, and I play piano... it's kind of a lot of stuff, actually, but I'm an extremely shy person so it's really, really scary. Just stay calm and don't panic. ^.^
Focus on the exciting part that made you want to get up there in the first place, not the scary parts. You'll do fine. :3
Confidence, I think, is the key.
