Wooo, can't wait to hear what you guys have in store for overseas members. Australia would like some lovin' too!

I'm the sort of person who doesn't really have the time or know-how to build their own rig, so this would be perfect for someone like me.

Oh snap, they ship the computer sealed up in a wooden crate.

Wooden Crate Armor is just one part of ORIGIN's Maximum Protection Shipping Process:

Stage 1: Insta-foam packaging creates a custom mold inside of your system to protect your internal components from moving during shipping. This protection is key against your system being dropped or taking any type of shock or impact.

Stage 2: Every ORIGIN system is placed inside a black velvet sleeve to protect your chassis form scratches or scuffs.

Stage 3: Custom foam inserts are wrapped around the top and bottom of your chassis to absorb the impact of any shock or impact to your crate.

Stage 4: Every ORIGIN system is placed inside of a durable, thick cardboard box and sealed with high resistance tape.

Stage 5: Just like fine art, your ORIGIN box is then placed inside a solid 1-inch thick wooden crate with another 1-inch of padding between the crate and your cardboard box.

Stage 6: Your crate armor is then sealed with multiple two-inch long metal screws, securing your system against tampering or any external exposure during shipment.
I've always wanted to use a crowbar to open my newly arrived computer! :)

Is this going to last as long as we are members or is it a limited time thing? Because I've been considering getting a laptop but I don't have the money right now. This is a great deal and is good for both the Escapist and Origin PC.

This'd be nice but. . . I already have a PC... I just want a laptop I can write on :|

And 1600 subtotal, way out of my price range. All I need in a laptop is a box with a screen, a few hours of battery power, and MS Office.
Samsung NC10 - netbook, I use it for all my writing, 8 hours battery life, 90% size keyboard (you'll find normal sized ones weird after a while) and runs really well. Only £300.

Only problem is I think they've discontinued the product line. Ah well.

OP: Sounds good, looking forward to UK benefits.

What about those of us who are on the other side of the other pond (Australia)? Don't forget us in the future!

(Just to point out, PCSpecialist is a good alternative for us UK users *hint hint at UK offers*)

I went on just to check out the prices and holy jesus were they high, but only about as high as something like an Alienware would cost (I think); and custom-builds are always better than factory-mass-produced builds

Yo Escapist, when you do a Canadian-only promotion, be sure to include a 1 litre bottle of maple syrup in whatever it is you do. That would be awesome.

But 1 question, is this offer only good for full gaming computers, or does it include buying parts separately as well?
I think they only sell full systems.
Aw...

Then I may have to pass on this. I don't have the money for a pre-built system sadly.

Haha, pre-built gaming rigs. I've already got a fireplace (y'know, for burning all my money)
Agreed. Newegg + knowhow = hundreds, if not thousands of saved $.

Yeah, this promo goes on for us for a long time :)

Newegg+free shipping+sales = happy.

I've gotten to them 20 days on a purchase with them lowering price, going in the chat and asking for the difference, and in 3 days it is in my account. So much excellent customer service..there really is not one thing about them I can say with ill intention. Not a thing.

Publisher's club...I totally forgot about the nice 50% off deal the night that I was going to register, perhaps if they bring that back I will do it. User error's a *****, isn't it?

I guess if I bought computers from companies I've never heard of instead of building them myself this would be cool, but alas.

US only = ignored.

Plus $1,600 would roughly equal to £1,100, so that's way out of my budget.
