Nintendo announced the Wii's getting a new version of Punch-Out, Sin and Punishment 2, and ... um... a Dynasty Warriors game, among others.

Not since 1997, when I was 11.

The only ones that seemed mildly interesting was the 2d beat'em up and the seemingly stealth-based game... Both of each seem like they would be far better suited for normal controllers than for the gimmick based "Wii-motes"... Which is rather sad when you think that the best games for the Wii, would only get better if you removed the one thing the consoles boasts about: their controllers.

A good number of games on the list made me happy. Harvest Moon, Tenchu (the ninja-stealth game), and Punch-Out. I don't agree that the control is gimmicky. Games that poorly use the controls are gimmicky, but not the controller.

Developers are treating the PS3 and the Wii very poorly by either tagging on poor controls or terrible optimization for said console. This gen is really a joke in regards to games. I couldn't be happier with the consoles themselves though.

It's a start but I still need another Zelda, Kirby, Starfox and are we EVER going to see Fire Emblem, Earthbound and Mother 3 here?

If they are to make a new version of Mike Tyson's Punch Out i just hope they dont chicken out and make Mike Tyson easy to fit with all the other easy next-gen games, that would make me really sad, cause games back then were Good, they took skill, they werent easy as hell as all new ones are, they were challenging.

Mike Tyson should be god-like in skill, if he isnt, then all hope is lost for the gaming community.
