I would say I can fight, but I never have needed to. My burly appearance usually keep people from acting up.

Also. Most martial arts are fail for fights besides krav maga and sambo. (Popular ones that are useful off the top of my head)
And Capoeira.

did aikido and corja shang tung northern praying mantis kung fu for 9 years ... then i quit and started a style i fell in love with and it's served me better in a scuff than the last 2 ... the style was western boxing

thing that gives me the extra advantage is that i know my way around kicks and punches are faster and more reliable .. i have a criminal record for fightin but that doesn't make me some sort of awesome badman

been boxing for 4 years now and i havent lost a fight since i was 17 (20 now) in reality most of the guys i decked out were ur average joe gym going weekend party guys, no challenge really but i have taken on other fighters around my level and won

but i never let myself forget that 1 day i WILL run into that guy that will deck me out sweetly .. boxing kinda made me .. lets say .. a tad over confident in a hostile situation

Martial Arts won't save you in a fight with someone with scars on their knuckles.

No I can't really fight, I lack the muscle.

Im more of a dirty fighter who isnt afraid to press his thumbs up your eyesockets or smash a bottle to use as a weapon. People who brag about kickboxing dont scare me because their not trained to deal with this.
Kickboxing, true, but go up against someone trained in a grappling art with a handheld melee weapon and you'd learn your lesson. :)

When I fight, I mix Aikido (another martial art, look it up) dirty tactics. I also am a little impervious to pain, so that helps with my fighting.

I have others fight for me. Slip 'em a $20, they'll do the job alright.

In seriousness, I have some experience in Tae-Kwon-Do and Brazilian Jiujutsu.

I'd love to learn how to defend myself, I already know in what kind of style I want to: economical fighting, nothing flashy, simple, using the energy of my opponent against him, in short stuff that's usefull in a real fight. Following that I found Jeet Kune Do, and it indeed peaked my interest. Hopefully I'll do some classes in the near future. I already have some moves in my mind, on how to counter incoming attacks. Problem is, I might know how to do those things, but they're not instincts (yet). I can think of at least 3-5 moves on how to counter a straight blow to my face, but I doubt that I'll actually do those things when someone actually wants to hit me like that.

Aaa but you don't need a lot of strenght persee. For example, someone lunges towards you and wants to grab you. All you technically need to do, is step aside and trip him over, possibly giving him a prod in the back so he goes flat on his face. With grace, speed and agility you can come a long way against your regular street asshole.

Well I didn't learn how to fight or anything but yeah I can fight.
No one is really a dick to me anymore so I don't have a reason to beat someone.

I can't fight well with only my fists. At all. I'm hopeless at it.

However, I did once win a fight by whipping a guy with the female end of a USB cable.

Not really, but I might make a couple belligerents frustrated with a few uncoordinated but strong blows.

I don't know any martial arts, but I can just launch at a guy, with my fists flailing wildly.
Me too! Here's a tip, suprize 'em, hit them where they don't expect it.

But yeah, I can't really fight. My skills are limited to trying to gouge vulnerable areas (I.E eyes, balls, stomach etc).

I was on my schools wrestling team for a few years. I built up strength and, well, wrestling skills. I can drop a guy with 2 punches oooooorrrrrr tear every tendon in his groin at once after taking him to the floor. believe me, Ive done both recently.

I've done Judo when I was a kid, and I was in the University MMA club for a while.

I've been attacked once by a group of guys while I was on my way to get dinner from work.

One of them balled up a magazine and threw it at me and said "Here, have a magazine ****!"

I turned around and called him a shithead, there were 5 of them, all with beer bottles in their hands and little plastic Australian flags hanging out their pockets (it was the Australia Day long weekend), he tried to get in my face, and when I told him to piss off and turned away to look across the road to see if it was safe to cross he punched me in the side of the head. I just looked at him and said something along the lines of "go home and have a lie down or a nap champ". One of the other guys stepped in to hold him back, and one of the other guys stepped in and asked me "what did you just call my friend?" I told him that I had called his mate a shithead, and why, and then that guy waited until I looked away to face across the road and popped me in the side of the head.

By now I decided to face up to them because it was getting fairly obvious that no amount of passive behaviour on my part was going to prevent an incident. The guy tried to shirt front me, and I pushed him away, ripping my shirt to shit in the process. Then he tried to shoot in for a takedown/tackle sort of thing, but he was shit and his body position was too high, so I hip tossed him to the ground and landed on top of him in a sort of side control position (for anyone who watches MMA or does Ju Jitsu). I popped him with about three left hands before I realised "shit, this guy still has 4 mates standing up around me who are all holding beer bottles, and the back of my head is completely exposed", so I completely dropped my weight, covered up and waited for it all to get broken up.

I went back to work, shirt ripped to shit, then went marching down the street with two of the bouncers looking for the guys, unfortunately we didn't find them, but if we had their shit would have gotten fucked up.
