SInce it's been out for about a day now. What do you think of the new team fortress 2 update so far? The weapons, doomsday, what they did with meet the pyro, or even the new source filmmaker. Anything you can think of.
Yeah, same here. I did get some time in Doomsday early today before activity picked up for the day, but the item servers are still overwhelmed.Legendairy314 said:It's good fun but more so annoying that the servers are straining under the pressure. I had to stop playing because I couldn't even use some of the new items.
JESUSFUCK DUDE. Post a god damn WARNING for headphones users for fucks sake.Black Arrow Officer said:I love the new Scattergun. Words can't express how much fun it was today to zip around Harvest while killing people and escaping before they even knew I was there. I felt like a true gangbanger. I'm also reminded of this video when I use that weapon:
Don't worry. Community is making good use of itVigormortis said:Since no one's commented on it, I'll be the first I suppose.
I can not wait to get my hands on the Source Filmmaker. Honestly, it's reminding me of the Portal 2 level editor. It seems so stream-lined and simple yet so incredibly powerful.
I'm not sure who Valve's hired in the past few years, on the tech side of things, but they're bloody brilliant. This move towards offering powerful yet user-friendly tools to the community is one I wish more companies would do.
Also, I'm excited to see how real filmmakers use these tools. The studio that made "9" is already using them to make a new animated feature film, so I'm curious where else this toolset will show up.
A spare Rainblower, eh? Any chance you would...you know...be willing to part with it?VanQQisH said:Got the Rainblower from my first ever pile of ash, crafted the new flaregun with the knockback and AoE, got the lolichop, a second Rainblower and a hat from crates and looted Vintage Pyrovison all in about 30 minutes of each other.
After all these years, I still had never looted or crafted a new flamethrower for the pyro and have been using stock. The Pyro is my least played class but that may change as I'm having a blast killing folks with rainbows and lollipops.
I agree on the poster above that said he wants for the new pyro weapons visible outside of Pyroland but I'm pretty pleased for now.
Also, the Meet the Pyro video was better than I could ever have imagined and I signed up for the Filmmaker beta. Looking forward to having a go with that fantastic piece of software.
