You kill him on your first attempt.

oh well, i guess having ashes of alar = skill
Actually, having Ashes of Alar = /rolled highest in a pug. You don't need skill to get good items, you just need to be in a pug and roll 100. I'd put money on him actually getting it that way too. Besides which, X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME [http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35226] looks so much more awesome. ;)

I've been playing WoW since release, and I've never heard the term "Timmy" used in that context. I think he said that just to get a Timmy clip in the article (which was classic).

Also lol @ top 10. Maybe top 10 ninja?

I can see why some people would find something like this interesting but surely NBC must have something better to do with there time then Video Games and their sub-language.

And I really hate "WoW-talk". Especially when people use it in "RL", as they call it. You look at Toss Pots when you talk about your epics and how you "pwned" that "noob night elf pally". And then you lol, you don't laugh but you say lol. A lot of gamers do this but it seems like "WoW" talk is the only one I really hear nowadays.

That's absurd.

EVERYONE knows Night Elves can't be Paladins, duh.

Okay, speaking (or writing, rather) as someone with actual television news production experience, this package should never have been done. I don't know how she pulled it off, but most news pieces that highlight your significant other never make it past the manager's desk. The whole tone of the package reminds me of something you'd see on YouTube, not on the evening news.

Yes well until I get my damn foreign language credit for saying pwn, I don't really see the worth of this learning it except for lulz (see I can speak WoWian as well.
And how the hell does that guy get the smoking hot reporter?

Also how does a WOW geek end up with a smoking hot reporter for a girlfriend. I mean seriously what are the odds of a top ten WOW player hooking up with a famous hottie.
Because what you choose to do for a hobby, or even what you do for a living, doesn't make you who you are.
I know that but this guy has to play a ton a WoW to get to where he is and the chances of him bumping into a woman, much less a famous one, are highly unlikely.

I'm sick of anyone in the news reporting about video games. They have no idea what they are talking about...

If its not sales statistics STFU NUBS.

and i have been playing since 2 months after release and have also yet to hear Timmy EVER used in WoW (let alone in context)
What about Timmy the Cruel [http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=10808]? ;)

I'm going to make a mock video of this and send it to CNN so they know how stupidly retarded they were for making this video, i'll post it here when I do.
I will love you forever if you do this.

"LFM 25 Naxx 2 more tanks 2 more DKs." In what universe does a noob ask for help in that manner. That man must have been embarrassed to say that. I mean surely a man in the top 10 of all of WoW (highly doubt that) would know that is not how to ask for help.

I think you're missing the point that he was taking the piss out of his girlfriend with everything he said. I bet even the misspelling of "pwnzor" was his idea (and she had no clue).

I think we're all annoyed by it because we know 99% of people watching it are going to think thatd a legit story, and that all online gamers sound like that. Basically, they're making us look like total twats through their lack of knowledge/research (btw that video link is broken).
