I needed a fix of gaming and was away from my console for quite a while so i was craving for something to blow up
i remembered something about a free online shooter that was based on Quake so i looked it up
anyway i'll skip the story and get to the actual game
First of all this is a impressions and not a review since the game is right now in open beta

The thing that struck me about quake that all you needed was to install a 1MB Plug-in which was a easy task and after that your ready to play (Yes the subscription is their but thats mandatory so it doesn't need any detail mentioning)
the overall artistic feel of the menu and character models was very pretty and i was liking where this was going
so i finally started playing
It was ALOT of fun but it is also frustrating since i'm not used to such fast paced shooters but that only took a match or 2 to get used to
everything is classic multiplayer with power ups and "If you have this gun you will kill that guy" thing. there's very little lag although there is enough to be noticed but it's not that much of a problem to break the flow.
graphically it's pretty good for a game that runs on a web browser and everything can be tweaked even how much you camera agnel shows on screen.
matchmaking is really easy only 1 double click away from a full on space jumping fragfesting CTF match.
from what i've seen so far i think it's a awesome free game that anyone can play and i highly reccomend it.
but the only thing that annoys me is when experts are killing a newbie like me...it's ridiculousy frustrating !
