Quantum Break - does anyone still play it?

I had to struggle to remember that name. I kept thinking "Syntax Error" and "Question of Sport" instead, for some reason.

Anyway, does anybody still play it? Does anyone still remember it? I read that it was a terrible PC port shackled to Microsoft's UWP, which made its various bugs unfixable. I could swear that for all the disappointment surrounding Titanfall about a week after its release, there was more excitement around it than this thing.

I'm waiting for a big price drop before buying it, I'm not paying 80 bucks for a 10 hour single-player only PC game.

I never finished it, because of the shitty performance on PC. MS and Remedy didn't do themselves a favour by releasing it in this state.

Tried it. Found it to be a mediocre third person shooter with a gimmick, stopped playing after a couple of days.

The potential is there but they need to start quickly adding in the options that PC gamers expect and not just as an afterthought.

I'm willing to bet my firstborn that it won't stay a Microsoft exclusive forever and we'll see it on Steam and GoG next year. If not, well it's just another 10h AAA game. Who gives a shit?

I played and beat it on Xbone when it came out. It was an okay game, but there is no reason to continue to play it. I have since traded it in for something else, "The Uncharted Collection" I believe.

Amazing game, I'm at, I think, the end of chapter 5.

Graphics are excelent, full of expectacle and character models are excelent too, specially Jacks in-game animation and facial expresions, some Naughty Dogs level there.

It has a strong story and well developed character. Paul is one of th best written antagonists in gaming. I really appreciate they tried to complement the story with the TV series, actually delivered more deep to the cast, compared to games of its genre. Also really like how they treated the scientific exposition of the time travel, sure it is precise but the writting, the way it is presented actually mimics scientific terminology. The notes and emails really adds to the story and build its cast but, sadly are soo long that affects the pacing if you try to read it all. Worth reading, though. I guess it is a game to play it twice which is what I'm doing after finishing it. So far there are some plot point that are, either, wasted or bad portraye but I will give my opinion about them upon beating the game.

Gameplay is good, I guess the game needed more scenes where you fight enemies outside time shutters to let you feel overpowered but I guess their intention is not to make uncontextualized violence. Aiming is not precise and shooting is not satisfying but that a purposed decision to not make it a straight shooter, the gameplay is focused to make use of powers and spread bullets to your enemies like Max Payne. The game does a great job to incentive the use of powers and keep it as far as posible from a TPS.

Platforming and puzzle parts are just bad, not interesting unless are given a narrative purpose but mostly are to advance in the game.

The TV series is good to develop the characters but its production values doesn't make justice to the scope of the game. In any case I think the game benefits from having it.

Playing it on X1 and everything flawless except for some times subtitles didn't appear.

It's $40 on amazon (digital and physical) if you are interested.

I played it, beat it and enjoyed it. Its gone on the shelf though like everything. I'll replay it, but it will be a couple of years probably when I just fancy it again.

@LordBaztion

I did, unfortunately it did nothing for me :(
Running Doom on Ultra with GTX 970, 2600k etc. Might wait for another patch.

It wasn't bad. I just wish they spent more of that money on the actual game over the mo-cap and the TV series. The set pieces where you actually engage the enemy were quite fun. Just too few and far between and over before they really began. Story was good but the ending kinda lacked.

Much like Project Spark and the Rare bundle thing, I keep on forgetting this game ever launched. Hell, I didn't know what the Hell it was until it did launch and some reviews started to trickle out. I haven't played it and I doubt I ever will though I'm always looking forward to a new Max Payne kinda game. I just don't want one that's got TV segments in between the game parts.

I heard somewhere that there's a bunch of Alan Wake references in this game, which prompts the question: Why not just make Alan Wake 2?

Not touching that game unless it drops in price.
Which sucks because I've heard that it's pretty good, and I LOVE Remedy, but 70 euros? I don't think so...

Yeah, it's good but 70 Euros is just greedy.

Hey now, that's not fair! Titanfall had a good full month of being frickin' awesome before the servers turned into ghost towns! :p

Well this will go down as a strike against the UWP, so hopefully it'll help in the effort to get Microsoft to give up on that bullshit "service".

As for the game itself, why would people still be playing it? From what I heard the show portions are boring as all hell. The "changes" that you do that affect the episodes are barely noticeable. No matter what choices you make in the game the ending is always the same. And apparently the main character's mortal nemesis is doors. The man can bend time to his will...but god forbid there be a door in his way, he becomes absolutely useless then.

At least that's my understanding of the game from what I saw in Angry Joe's review. :p
