quarentine situation....

so I just watched Quarantine and that got me thinking. what would you do if you were placed in that situation.


for people who have not watched the movie here is the situation:

you are in an apartment that has some weird stuff going on in it. police and fire department are called to investigate the scene. said building gets swarmed with police and Military trucks and gets quarantined off (no power. all exits bolted shut, covered in a plastic tarp, and every single window is covered by a sniper). effectively trapping you inside the building as a rabbis- like virus turns the already infected into zombie-like creatures. what would you do in this situation?

Set traps on the upper floors- Work my way down the stairwell to the bottom of the building.

OT: Hide in the attic, basements you'll get stuck in. Roofs you can break out of.

Chill in the elevator with food from one of the apartments. You know, like emergency stop it between floors, and just wait it out.

Shoot the zombies, assess the situation, get into a small crawl space with my fellow quarantines and start singing show tunes.

I have not seen it, but The Spoony One reviewed this over at his experiment [http://www.spoonyexperiment.com/2008/10/12/quarantine-review/], so my answer is...

Not putting myself in that position in the first place. Especially not with very dim bulbs who are filming a documentary. I'd rather hang out with the people from 28 Days Later. They at least know what they're dealing with.

I would pick up anything long and solid and/or heavy that feels comfortable in my hands and then use it to bludgeon everything that attacked me to death.
I would be like super-jesus, only with more zombies.

i also never understood why governments are so keen on covering up zombie attacks i would use it to put fear in the people so they'd do whatever i wanted under the guise of keeping them safe from zombie terrorists or something

Quarantine is pretty much a shot-for-shot remake of the Spanish zombie film Rec, which I've seen - seriously, crazy deja vu watching that trailer lol. From what I've read it looks like there was very little originality put in to the remake, but then again, Rec was magic, and there wasn't much that I would have changed.
