Well... i mean, are we surprised? Most TV writers are geeks. I thought this was known. I mean this SPECIFIC reference is surprising but geeky ones aren't.

Oh a 13 year old Pc game. There's no way that can be any way disappointing. And is there something wrong with preferring consoles?

I'm not being obtuse or trollish. If you don't have a 3DS and find the 3DS a bit awkward, would you eat up all the news about a big upcoming 3DS game? I honestly never played Starcraft, or read anything on Starcraft 2. This, it has its moments (the nerdy jokes can get genuinely clever or esoteric at times), but it just doesn't ring true for me and at the core its just a mediocre sitcom.ultimateownage said:

I was like you, I avoided the American office for a long time based on the old "It will never be the 'proper' office" and it isn't not by a long shot. Sadly the first season seems to be trying desperately to capture the tone of the original series and fails badly.Varya said:
But as season 2 and the other's wear on it sort of becomes its own thing that is funny in its own way. Once past season 1 you will see there is some real comedic talent both in the cast and the writing. It's a really great show, but don't hold it against the original, it will just set you up for dissapointment. That might be why I liked season 1 so little :S.
