Question about B:BC2

Until recently, I haven't really played any shooters. ((MW2 being what got me into them in the first place.)) Now, I may be mistaken for something else, but I've heard that B:BC2 offers guns available over whatever, in my case, Xbox Live. Wouldn't this be a marked disadvantage who those unable or unwilling to pay money for it? The game, from what I heard, looks great, but I don't want to play a game's multiplayer where I might be killed simply because someone is richer than me.

Buying guns on XBLA =/= skill

Even if that possibility exists (which I don't know if it does or not), it wouldn't guarantee that you die, and it shouldn't put you off buying the game.

yeah, that does sound a tad unfair, but at least their trying something different i guess.

Edit: It also kinda depends on what kind of guns would be for sale, I mean if any of them were in the slightest overpowered or beter than what comes standard, then everyone's gonna be rushing to buy the online ones.

If you pre-ordered the game, you got WWII pistol and a Thompson at the start.

If you are a Battlefield Vet. with a rank of 2, you get an M1 Garand.

Nothing that is overkill.

Just something nice to have.

The guns you unlock are plenty powerful.
Even the initial guns are fairly potent.
It's all about how you use them.

The pre-order and vet gun are both barely more useful than the initial guns.
For novelty, mostly.

Bullets all fly out of the same end of any gun. It doesn't really matter if you paid to get something spiffy, just learn to work with the toold you've been given.

First off, I don't think they'll be adding completely overpowered guns as purchasable downloads. Most (if not all) guns are useful in their own way, but require different playing styles and tactics. I can't really see them adding a BFG9000 or anything like that. Second, the content upgrades announced so far are free as long as you bought the game new. If you bought it second hand you will have to pay 15$ for it.

Except for the M1 Garand, all of the guns can (Though might not be) unlocked during actual gameplay

Hmm... Well, once I get the money (Like, after I get Mass Effect 2), then I might have to try it out. Although if anyone has anything else to say that can inform this thread, that would be great.

No, but if you got, say a insta-kill gun that automatically hits anyone in the general direct you're facing, skill doesn't matter so much.

Skill always matter, whatever gun you have
