So I haven't played many fighters in awhile and I was thinking of picking BB back up. Since Extend came out relatively recently I figured I'd grab it pretty soon, but for those who've played it I have a question: how well do they handle Calamity Trigger's story? My sister watched me play through Continuum Shift without seeing the story of Calamity Trigger and as you can probably guess there was a lot of explaining to do. Despite the explanation she's repeatedly said she wants to see the whole story. Fast forward a few months and now my girlfriend's also interested.
Here's the issue: Calamity Trigger's story mode is slow, confusing and monotonous for 90% of the experience. From what I understand Extend does a really good job condensing and establishing the story of BlazBlue through a short retelling. So yeah, does it do the whole story justice? Is it a better way to get introduced to the story than the original format?
