Why do we put the tree inside and the lights outside? Does this seem backwards to anyone else?

I don't know what decorations you've seen, but I see trees inside and lights in AND outside. And there's very little backwards about a tree inside, people have plants in their houses all the time. Flowers, ferns, even tree saplings. I see what you're saying, but I don't see anything backwards at all :3

yes lights are also on the inside, but why on the outside? and what about stockings, why do we hang those up and put stuff in them? it seems to me like Christmas was made by a drunk guy.

Why not lights on the outside? They're pretty, and they unify the decorations inside the house with the outside of the house. You want to know something weird to have in your yard? Garden gnomes. Or fake animals. THOSE are weird. Just having fake animals and creepy mythical creatures in the yard for the hell of it? At least at Christmas they're there for a reason.

yes, garden gnomes are weird because they're creepy. but it would be fun to have ninja garden gnomes, and every night you could move them to creep out your neighbors.

i had not seen that routine by him, i had previously only seen the bacon one by him, but its great to know that i think like jim gaffigan.
