Question about Demon's Souls stats

My fellow escapists I have yet to find the proper information on this listed other places online so I figured I could appeal here and hope that someone had the "Perfect Guide" from the special addition and could answer this question, or the knowledge themselves.

How much luck should I get on a character before I start farming for the upgrade stones I need? Or a better way may be how much I should have to make it so that I don't feel like i am only getting 1-2 stones a run when I am looking for the more common ones. I have the Large Sword of Searching to use with it.

On another note I understand that more luck increases the chance something will drop, but does it also give a higher chance for a specific rarity to drop?

Thank you for this. I spent 10 hours working on getting chunks of bladestone recently only to find 1 in the entire time, so I figured I may want to figure out if there was a better setup.

First: Don't spend souls on luck, use them for your other stats to improve you overall.

Second: Get to a black world tendency where you want to farm for items, it ups how often you get loot and the quality of the loot without wasting stat points.

Third: STOP SPENDING SOULS ON LUCK! Seriously, you'll regret that choice later when the stats you want to improve are far more expensive than they should have been.

I already have the world at PBWT and haven't spent any points on luck thus far. I just am curious as to how much influence each point in luck would have.

I honestly have no idea about how much luck influences your loot collecting, I've never had a real problem gathering the stones that I needed. (My luck is sitting at 15 right now, and I'm regretting putting points into it.) Do you have a listing as far as what to kill and where it is for the items that you want to farm?

Yup I know exactly which mobs to kill and so far I have a fairly quick method of taking them out. The only thing lacking is my drops per hour. Large Sword of Searching didn't appear to make that large of a difference.

Maybe you'd have better luck killing off a different group of enemies? Most stones can be found in multiple levels on different groups. (Of course you could be having a classic example of the game hating you, it happens to me all the time.)

Pretty much what this guy said. High luck+lower other stats= YOUR DEAD!
