Question about fallout 3 Point Lookout

Before I got to the ferry and accepted the quest I teamed up with a Brotherhood of steel Paladin I can't remember the name of.
The ferryman said he didn't do group trips and that she had to stay behind. So my question is:
Will I be able to team up with her again once I complete the quest and return to the citadel?

Yes. You can regain any companion after they're dismissed from your party for any reason by taking to them again. Unless they're dead, of course.
