I have a question regarding the forum rules here. One of my biggest issues with writing articles and other things for my blog is that occasionally my structure can become quite convoluted.

If I was to post an article that I have written into the advice forum, with the intent of asking for critique and did not in any way link to or advertise my blog, would this be considered spam and thus incur penalties?

Thanks in adavance.

It's a difficult question to answer... but i think that one of the factors which may be against you is that you are a very new poster. I'm not sure whether this is coincidence or not, but if i was a mod it would look very much to me like you only made the account to post your article(s).

However, whether or not posting your articles for advice would be seen as advertising or not is another question. If you do not link your website then I cannot see how it could possibly be seen as advertising as people could only read it to critique it. If you were however, to put a link after the article then I could see that being seen as advertising.

Critical assessment is more at place in the Off-Topic forums.

However, just for you, I'm making Alyaine aware of this question.

I was about to say, aren't you the primary moderator here Aylaine?
What you say should go as law here. =3
