Ok so it goes like this, I was having a disscusion with a guy at my work the other day about where the line is between something being racist and something not. For example saying all people from say asia eat alot of rice. Where as of course this isnt true, it has a large portion of truth behind it. I quote wikipedia here "As a cereal grain, it is the most important staple food for a large part of the world's human population, especially in tropical Latin America, East, South and Southeast Asia." So as it says rice is a large part of Southeast Asia's diet. But does it make it a racist comment or just stating a statistic?
So what do you think where do we draw the line between something being racist or not?
Oh an if this has already be done I aplogise. I looked through the search but couldnt find anything.
EDIT: I just realised I posted this in the wrong place. Can any one tell me how to move it or if thats even possible. thank you and sorry
EDIT EDIT: fixed it thanks
