So I'm thinking about getting my brother a copy of Red Dead Redemption for his birthday but I had a concern.

He has a PS3 I have a 360 so I'm not used to how Game of the year editions would work on the system. If I buy the Game of the year edition will it have the Undead Nightmare dlc on the disc or will it be a code for a download?

This is a major thing because he doesn't currently have internet access.

I know that the Oblivion DLC was included on disc but I'm not sure if that's always the case.

I'm fairly certain it contains the disc. It's available in disc form at least.
But ask in the shop, they ought to know for sure.

"since the Game of the Year Edition comes with all the DLC already there it just made it that more great for me! The reason I finally bought the game was because it came with Undead Nightmare and I LOVE zombies, I could have bought the DLC alone but I decided the actual game wouldn't hurt since the DLC might be pretty short."

This is from a review on Amazon about the GOTY edition, so it looks like you're good.

I was just thinking about this game, and I think I'd rank it in the top 3 games of this console generation.

Tell him to bring his hard drive to a place which has internet access, because Read Dead Redemption is currently retailing for about 8 quid in the Xbox Live sale, and the Undead Nightmare DLC isn't actually worth getting. Much better for everyone!

IIRC the Fallout DLC worked that way too, so either it's a common industry practice or Bethesda are just cool.

Thx for the answers guys. Turns out I asked for nothin' cuz Gamestop didn't have the game of the year edition. I wound up getting him White Knight Chronicles 2 and Yakuza 4 instead. He likes things that are really japanese so should be a god substitute.
