Since I'm getting a new computer tommorow (the processor is my old one died, may it rest in peace) I bought two games for it. Dawn of War 2 and Empire Total War.

With Empire Total War I knew it came with steam but I bought it anyway. I also know you need to stay connected to the internet and have steam running to play it. Is there anyway I could play offline without steam running? Steam just seems like adware and besides, while it's running it'll be draining system resources. Is there like a mod for it to remove steam?

On an unrelated note how do I indent my paragraphs here?

I don't think there's a way, but steam runs pretty quietly most of the time. I don't even notice it.

Also I don't think the internet likes indentation.

I'm pretty sure you can run Steam in offline mode, and still play all your games. I've done it before, back when my internet connection was awful.

Steam will ask you if you want to go into "offline mode", just hit yes and you'll be fine.
I play some of my games offline, no problem.
