Question about Super powers. (answered)

Ok this is for an RP I'm on and I need a little help.

You know how most of the bodies development are controlled by Glands and the such?
Well, I was wondering, is there a Gland that exists that is at the very least Linked to the development and/or usage of Super-Powers?

You can use any source from any fictional media, I just need to know if something like that exists.

I'm reasonably certain- though, admittedly, I have been proven wrong in the past- that all recorded instances of "super powers" are fictitious.

I think it's your pituitary gland, but don't quote me on that

It is a bit difficult to make superpowers out of hormones, but...
Adrenal glands for super reflexes/strength.
Growth hormones to control your size.
And thyroids for immunization.
Or just make one up.

However, I'm gonna say that going for the whole genes/DNA thing will probably be more effective for your purposes.
