does bad karma mean bad luck??

i decided to start a new account as the most evil sunamabish that ever walked the earth (i even named him HitlerSkelator) and after a tidal wave of bad karma something weird happened ... i encountered enemies so much more frequently and even the WEAKEST attacks crippled my limbs in 1 hit

it was a struggle to survive even against inferior opponents .. in less than 10 minutes 54 stimpacks turned into 19 (and i used ALOT of food) ... my shots regularly missed even in VATS ... falcon mercenaries appeared like crazy (though that i expected)

it was just shitstorm after shitstorm ...... any eveel players here getting any of this??

Enemies are scaled to your level. Karma affects speech, followers and regulators/talon mercs.
It might also be that you are not repairing your 200 year old equipment.

I don't know, my character was good then evil then neutral and I saw no difference in what happened to my character... so... maybe your character just has bad luck?

If you have bad karma, you will get chased by regulators, essentially a hit squad out for your blood. But as for other enemies, karma doesn't affect that really. Enemies are often random save for some locations and they are levelled. For example, you are unlikely to see a Deathclaw when you first step out of the vault (unlikely, but not impossible) but they can be difficult to defeat whenever you meet them. As for your VATS shots, you need to pick some skills that improve that next time you level up, I can hit a killing headshot from very large distances with an accurate weapon, so the tip is get closer or get skillz!

Also, maybe a follower would be helpful. Fawkes is strong as hell, so if you get him to follow you he can be very helpful in fights, but even he won't help when you're surrounded by multiple strong beasties. Try saving your game, getting some good karma by giving clean water to the peasant outside Rivet City and see if it makes a difference. The sometimes bad, sometimes good thing about this game is that you can flip flop between good, evil and neutral and it will have little to no effect so it won't spoil the game. You can be bad but just have a soft spot for thirsty hobos now and then :)

That sounds like my first play though of Fallout3. Even if your good or bad Fallout 3 its kinda a trial and error game till you finally get it right.

Mini-nukes. Skill and luck fall out the window when you can launch your own nuclear weapon.

Hmm, that I can't explain. It's been a while since I played so I can't remember the name of the skills, but one improves accuracy of head shots and one increases accuracy for each succesive successful shot. My Lincoln's Repeater is deadly even from a distance, so I'm not really sure why you're missing so much from such short distances. Although if it's a long ranged weapon you're using I don't know if it's harder to hit at short range, but that truly is a puzzler. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
