Hello everyone,
dont worry this is neither another hate thread nor a defense thread for the Xbox1. I'm just curious about something.
In the presentation of the Xbox, MS talked alot about watching TV and Sports on your console and using FB and whathaveyou. So here is my question:
Why is that a feature anybody cares for at all? Dont you need a TV to use a Xbox anyway?
If I have to have a TV to use the Xbox and can afford a several hundred bucks console, isn't the chance that I already have a "TV-provider" (I'm not quite sure how to translate that, i mean a company that provides you with the tv channels you want) for the shows/sports/whatever I want extremely high?
As for the internet features, doesn't (statistically) almost everybody with the income to afford a XB1 already own two devices capable of comfortable internet browsing?
So why did the presentation emphasise these thing almost more then anything game related?
Is there something I'm missing? Or is something about "TV-providers" in the US inherently different than in EU?
