So guys, I'm just wondering. I feel like finally starting a game of Witcher 3, but I don't have Blood and Wine (yet). If I start a new game now and get it later, would it mess up my game? Does it have any content that takes place at the start of the game, or can I start a new game with what I have now, get the DLC and then go into that?

Blood & Wine is tailored to actually be post-game content, though you don't have to beat the game to access it, you do have to be level 35. You won't miss any content.

As for the other DLC, Hearts of Stone, it does alter some main quest dialogue (only slightly, a few references) if you finish it before a certain point, but it also integrates with the existing map of Velen/Novigrad, whereas Blood and Wine is an entirely separate world space, and I believe 99% of all it's content is solely locked to that new world space (except the brief quest that takes you there)
