Skitles tried chocolate before and look how that turned out. keep chocolate where it belongs, and keep gum where it belongs.

I think it would taste delicious, but the texture would be wrong and possibly quite unpleasant. There's more to the enjoyment of chocolate than simply the taste - the melty texture is what makes it so awesome. Gum may capture its taste, but without the texture, it would be a failure.
