For some, it could be a great thing- Especially ones like Supernatural, which only really suffer from mediocre acting. Well, OK, and odd plot lines, but that's kind of a good thing in Comic books.

Sure, as long as they don't go back. I quit reading prequel comics and the like when they didn't mean anything to the movie/tv series.

I am a Buffy fan (as well as all TV that is Joss). When "Buffy Season 8" and "Angel After the Fall" went to print, I bought them eagerly and continued for a dozen or so runs. I did, however, have to stop. It was obvious that the story had devolved into fan fiction.

I know ho weird that sounds! I know that Joss had a very heavy hand. In fact he had more influence than he did on the shows themselves, but that might be the problem. Could it be that the collaborative process a creator must go through moderates his desire to dote on his creation? Could it be that Joss should not be the sole creator of the whole story? I think so.

I am reminded of Star Wars. When Lucas had little influence, he made a solid trilogy. He came back with the sole omnipotence, and made a trilogy that was at least very inferior. I am beginning to believe that some stories (or at least some storytellers) need a moderator or score to make things not suck. Comics do not provide that like television, and television appears to attract creators who need it.

Please god no.

I can read books fast. Gimme 100 pages and 1 hour and its done. But comics are a pain :(
Too much goes into detail and to little text.

But I certainly like the stories inside comic books. Only the format doesn't work too good with me.

But why can't I vote no ? Bad poll :p

First there were two Serentiy Minis: Those left Behind and Better Days.

As for comics, you can't deny the beneifts. No special effects budget. No having to force actors into a show to keep them on hand for when they're needed, or having to dig up an old actor to have their character return from an absence. The downside is the timing's different, and it has hurt the current Buffy run as the same material covered in a single episode takes months to do in comic form. You do succumb to levels of "fanfiction writing" from time to time. Worst of all sales never match the show. Buffy had millions of viewers, the comic has thousands.

STill, with Heroes recently getting the ax, I can't help think some shows could work and may improve in comic form.

Batman Beyond is getting turned into a six part comic series next month.
That's not really a difficult feat, considering who's banner the character is under. Hell, it wouldn't be the first time.

I think that since Heroes has been cancelled it would be nice to see a continuation of the series in comic. The series has already had some comic peripherals so it doesn't really break the story or anything.

I would say sometimes comic books and sometimes comic strips.
Lost can be a comic book.
Arrested Development should be turned into a comic strip
