question regarding Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker

I picked this game up a few months ago and haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Part of the reason is I read somewhere that some of the missions are virtually impossible to beat without playing co-op. I read that some of them are required as well to complete the game. I have no friends that own the game so I'm reluctant to start playing it if I won't be able to finish it on my own. Are these claims true?

No, you can beat every mission in the game solo. The missions that "need" co-op are doable by yourself, but they are balls hard. You can beat the main story line without have to complete some of those missions.

Oh wow, I had this same worry but blindingly got the game anyway for its promise of ocean-deep gameplay and story worthy of the MGS5 label.
