Right yesterday I rented Tom Clancy`s Endwar for the Xbox 360 from my local Blockbuster and it played perfectly so today I switch my 360 on and start up Endwar after about 5 minutes I notice my 360 getting very loud and it continues to get louder till it eventually it switches it self off and I notice the top left and bottem left quadrents flashing red(Overheating) so I boot it up again and put Halo 3 in there is no noise so I put the Orange Box in and start up a Team Fortress 2 match no noise so I decide to switch it off for a hour. When I switch it on the second time I put Endwar back in and no surprise it does its bit and switches it self off so I try Battlefield:Bad Company and it also begins to sound like a plane taking off to the point where I cannot hear the gunshots or explosins. So to the question Im thinking if one of Blockbusters games break my 360 and it is still under 1 year warrenty from Blockbuster will I be able to get a new 360 from them or will I have to ship to a 360 repair center in Germany any help would be much appreciated.

This was happening to me and guess what the outcome was: RROD. You should probably start getting ready to send it off.

I suggest that you buy one ot the external fans that clip onto the back of your 360. Since I got one I'v left mine on for over 6 hours and never had it overheat.

Exact same thing happened to me 3 days before Christmas. Had to send it in and get a replacement. Congrats, you get to go without an Xbox for 3 weeks.

Happend to me as well, but since I am lucky it only happens, well I guess if I play for like about 12 hours or more up to the point that it overheats or does that glitch with the audio.

I suggest you move to someplace with a cooler envirment or get an A.C. for your room.

Are you living on the equator or something?

I play my 360 a lot and it has never overheated till now I suspect there is something wrong with the disk and it has done something and to your question of where I live I live in Scotland and it is unbelievabley cold

Have you recently put an ongoing heat source right next to it?

Is your Xbox 360 white or black?

Oh and that question isn't racist in any way, black absorbs more heat energy.

Nope I have it horizontal on top of my Tv on a table and my Xbox is a white core system with a 120GB Hard Drive.

First thought: I know this site's main draw is called Zero Punctuation but that doesn't mean you should use zero punctuation in your post.

Second thought: Red ring of death IMMINENT. Thank you for pressing the self-destruct button. This ship will self-destruct in three minutes.

if its only with the endwar game then i say you should just get your money back from it and buy one from play.com.
not only is it cheaper then, but a play.com game has never once broke my console.
