To answer the last part of your image, no, I wouldn't. I don't want to be famous. I don't want the public spotlight on every last little action I do. I don't want the tabloids going nuts every time I take a shit. And I damn sure don't want to get all of that because I'm following the orders of some random guy that knocked on my door.

It does not say fame and fortune, it says hopes and dreams. Meaning what you desire most. Justin wanted a singing career. What do you want the most? What if a business man promised you that, and it was certain it would happen, the only catch would be to follow what he says without any real physical harm to you. You would take the offer too, would you not?

Nothing wrong with him? Really? I mean, he sold out his ideals for fame and money rather than maintain some form of artistic integrity (assuming he ever had such a thing). Yeah fine he's being used by the record companies etc but he could've said no. He could still say no. Compare that to the musicians out there struggling for recognition when they're writing and performing genuinely innovative music but who still plug away because they love what they do and I'd say hell yeah he's a figure worthy of ridicule. I definitely hate the people behind his popularity more than I hate him but I stand by my opinion that he's a moronic puppet with a corporate hand so far up his arse he can't go for a shit unless his manager or whoever pulls out long enough for him to go.

And before you try it NO! I would not do what he's done. Not in a million lifetimes. Art, no matter what form, is way too important to me for that shit not to bug me.

All he has to do is prove himself and I'll come right around. I used to "hate" Justin Timberlake (by default as he was a member of 'N Sync) but he has proven himself worthy of my respect. Same with Leonardo DiCaprio, who I despised for being the pretty boy star of titanic (which I hated because people just wouldn't shut up about it.) He is now one of my favorite actors.

Also this^ I'm more than willing to change my mind if somebody does something I find impressive. I didn't rate James Franco as an actor until I saw 127 hours. Didn't like DiCaprio for the same reasons as above. People can grow beyond this kind of thing but until Beiber does I'm going to carry on calling him a talentless fuckwit.

First off. Unless you are some kind of deranged psychotic individual. You do not "hate" Justin. You merely severely dislike him, these two things are not synonymous.
Okay, with that out of the way. I have never said, nor will ever I say that he is gay. (unless he actually is gay, though this is unlikely.)
So not why I dislike him.
Secondly, you assume I don't dislike Katy Perry. This is also false. I think she's even worse than Bieber. But that's for another time.
And lastly you assume I would bend over to some corporation for money. There are no words in the English language strong enough to describe how wrong that insinuation is.

While he might be nice, sincere, etc. (or he could be a jerk, I don't know him personally) his name still represents unjust and immoral causes. Since the name is all most of us have to go on we judge him on what we can see. While his songs are not about getting drunk and getting laid they still don't represent (his) personal expression and human experience.

Yes, I'd probably do the same thing in his position (especially at his age) but if I had the same mindset I have now I would eventually do something about the way my career was headed because there is no excuse when he has/gains the freedom to choose how to use his own money. Eventually I hope he learns the true nature of those he represents and learns to take risks, becomes independent, and moves towards creating something more expressive and personal over just following the easy route.
