Probably through one of the trailers like 'The Elder Scrolls: Equestria' or 'Ponycraft 2'. Though I first really considered watching it after seeing the article about it on Know Your Meme.
5) Why do you like the show?
It's hard to pinpoint exactly why I like the show. I'm guessing it's a combination of the writing, which is excellent, the art style and the likeable characters. Though as I said it's hard to pinpoint an exact reason.
6) Do you actively try to get people to like the show or "convert them" to bronyism?
I tell people that I like the show and that if they feel up to it they should give it a try. Though if they don't want to or genuinely don't like the show then that's fine.

I've heard some pretty ridiculous claims like that we quit our jobs and become manchildren just so we can watch the show. Laughable. We're not any different from anyone else.

Yes, I do. The general optimism and the positive air that surrounds the brony community is refreshing and a welcome break from the cynicism you usually see around the internet. There's also a great many talented bronies out there creating endless high-quality content. It's just awesome.
9) What is the most important aspect or trait of Brony culture?
I'd like to say Love and Tolerance, but that'd just sound pretentious. Maintaining a positive air and not being overly and needlessly critical is pretty important though.

I don't go to conventions or stuff like that, but pretty much my whole computer is ponyfied, my chrome-theme is Rainbow Dash, I visit Equestria Daily [http://www.equestriadaily.com/] (biggest fansite out there) several times a day, and I've watched the whole series multiple times with both my little brother (16) and one of my closest friends (also 20), effectively making them fans of the show. Well I have told my two closest friends about the shows but they couldn't get into it. I did try persuade them again but I stop after that. I don't want to force it onto them and just accept they not into it and leave it to themselves if want to check it out again for any reasons.

3-Sure I listen to fanmade music and look at fanarts but I don't get too deep with the community. I had only read one or two fanfic and I don't believe in shipping. I also don't get too caught up with the community version of the ponies like e.g. some people were upset with the real Luna in episode 4 of season 2 since they all had different "views" on her (different version of her made from fanfic and etc) before that episode was aired.

They are somewhat based on truth, but not everyone who likes the show is a super fan, and not everyone will attack you for disliking it, same as any other fandom, only it's more noticeable because of the subject.

Yes, the community is one of the reasons I still hold interest in the show. I like it because of the talent and activeness. You can find some very well done music, writing, and art done by the fans. Also, the general friendliness.

When they identify as such, typically. There's always a few who are in denial, but read fanfiction, obsess over characters whom I would categorize in my mind as such, regardless of personal designation.

One person mentioned it in the Escapist IRC, someone else responded. The fact that the comment I would expect to be a topic of furry fandom elicited a response from someone who was not a furry begat a third person asking for clarification on the matter.
5) Why do you like the show?
I love children, and someday would like to illustrate children's' books. This makes me quite open to good children's media, and I appreciate the fact that Friendship is Magic can be an entertaining, family-friendly, (as opposed to being a "show for children") visually appealing and all while not having to resort to the bizarre, uncomfortable, or to pop culture references. This may seem like a strange comment, but Friendship is Magic is consistent in all the places you'd want it to be.

No, I find that silly.
However, I despise when people ignorantly dismiss something respectable on principal. That, and when hypocrites liken FIM fans to "sheep" whilst themselves only demonstrate dislike of the show on the grounds of its popularity.
But I've always been this way- I recall a time in First grade, in which I became extremely angry and disturbed by my classmates merrily singing songs about dismembering Barney the Dinosaur. I couldn't fathom why these children would praise the death of a character who taught kindness and friendship to children.
7) What are some of the stereotypes about bronies that you hear? Are they based on truth or outright lies?
The ones people imply about male fans' masculinity? Or more to the point, in how they are lacking of it?
Nonsense, and blatantly so. One would have to actively be seeking reason to hold malicious feelings towards the bronies. In fact, I wish they would soften up a bit more with My Little Pony- they take it as far as they would any of their interests, (Game mods, audio remixes, etc) rather than just relaxing and enjoying the show.

Generally, I am indifferent to them, but in comparison to the rest of the nerd cultures out there, they're wonderful.
They're just such a friendly, happy fanbase, and that's so hard to find in any group of people.

Hrm... I'd have to go with the aforementioned friendliness, and taking what the show has to heart. Without being nice, what do you have left with a brony other than a guy alone, watching cartoons by themselves?

I'd say a one. I really don't do the whole "fandom" thing. I don't feel a need for merchandaise, don't fantasize about characters, show little loyalty towards media and have never been interested in reading fan fiction of any sort except for the hilariously bad, such as Full-Life Consequences.
My Little Pony is nice and I'll tune in to watch it, but only if its convenient at the time. The fact that FIM ponies are criminally easy to draw makes them for a non-offensive doodle on lecture not margins makes pony art an occasionally visited idea, but never beyond sketch phase.
And Pokemon, despite its nostalgia value, manages a 2 because I'll admit to liking my tiny gashapon Heatran.

I love children, and someday would like to illustrate children's' books. This makes me quite open to good children's media, and I appreciate the fact that Friendship is Magic can be an entertaining, family-friendly, (as opposed to being a "show for children") visually appealing and all while not having to resort to the bizarre, uncomfortable, or to pop culture references. This may seem like a strange comment, but Friendship is Magic is consistent in all the places you'd want it to be.

No, I find that silly.
However, I despise when people ignorantly dismiss something respectable on principal. That, and when hypocrites liken FIM fans to "sheep" whilst themselves only demonstrate dislike of the show on the grounds of its popularity.
But I've always been this way- I recall a time in First grade, in which I became extremely angry and disturbed by my classmates merrily singing songs about dismembering Barney the Dinosaur. I couldn't fathom why these children would praise the death of a character who taught kindness and friendship to children.

The ones people imply about male fans' masculinity? Or more to the point, in how they are lacking of it?
Nonsense, and blatantly so. One would have to actively be seeking reason to hold malicious feelings towards the bronies. In fact, I wish they would soften up a bit more with My Little Pony- they take it as far as they would any of their interests, (Game mods, audio remixes, etc) rather than just relaxing and enjoying the show.

Generally, I am indifferent to them, but in comparison to the rest of the nerd cultures out there, they're wonderful.
They're just such a friendly, happy fanbase, and that's so hard to find in any group of people.

I'd say a one. I really don't do the whole "fandom" thing. I don't feel a need for merchandaise, don't fantasize about characters, show little loyalty towards media and have never been interested in reading fan fiction of any sort except for the hilariously bad, such as Full-Life Consequences.
My Little Pony is nice and I'll tune in to watch it, but only if its convenient at the time. The fact that FIM ponies are criminally easy to draw makes them for a non-offensive doodle on lecture not margins makes pony art an occasionally visited idea, but never beyond sketch phase.
And Pokemon, despite its nostalgia value, manages a 2 because I'll admit to liking my tiny gashapon Heatran.
