I really like the multiplayer but I have some questions.

1) How do you Unlock more races? I don't want to be a human forever. Also why haven't I seen any Turians?

2) Is it worth it to buy the Veteran Pack? It costs 4 times as much and I always seem to get similar items in the cheaper pack?

3) If i have a level 10 Human Male Solder does that mean when I unlock the Turian Solder he will be level 10 as well?

4) What does the right button on the d-pad do? Up is a missile, right is ammo and down is medi-gell but what is right?

1) You unlock them through the Store Packs, Veteran Packs have a higher chance of unlocking than Recruit, but that doesn't mean an alien every pack.

2) Yes, by all means yes, better weapons, better upgrades, and better chance of new races.

3) Yes the entire group levels up together, which is very nice.

4) Probably the recharge shields/health pack.

1a - In the packs, same as weapons and equipment. They count as uncommon/rare though, so go for the veteran packs.

b - I've seen a few Turians. They're around.

2) If you want to unlock races, then yes, veteran packs are worth it.

3) Yes, your theoretical Turian will be level 10.

4) I'm not sure since I play on PC, but judging from what you said the right button is probably the survival pack. It instantly recharges shields and health, but doesn't help if you're down. Like the other supplies, you can use use two per mission.

EDIT: I'm just getting ninja'd at every turn today.
