You use image tags. Copy this - (img)imageurl.gif(/img) - and replace the brackets with square brackets, or quote my post and use the image I posted as an example.

Edit: Forgot to mention that you need to upload the image to an image hosting site first, and you'll get the url from there to use with the tags. A couple of good sites are photobucket.com [http://photobucket.com/] and tinypic.com [http://tinypic.com/].
