Okay, so I have a question, that is probably going to sound really stupid. But dammit by the whiskey I soak my sorrows in I'll ask it anyway! (that last line works better if you imagine me as a mustachioed Southern gentleman...)

Basically, we all know that The Secret World is coming out soon. That is, the new MMO from Funcom that they made whilst putting off the third The Longest Journey game yet again... (I'm kidding, I love Funcom and I can wait for Chapters, though hopefully not too much more a wait now...). I do intend to get it, but it'll pretty much be the first MMO I've ever played and stuck with (the only other MMO I've ever played properly is Uru Online), and there seems to be very little info on the internet regarding this next question.

So what I want to see if anyone knows is, will it be a F2P game, or is there a paid subscription? And if so, how much per month will it be?

I ask because basically I work part time at the moment and have plenty of free time, but not a massive amount of income, and I'm saving for a decent camera anyway to start photography properly. Thus the matter of a subscription will influence my buying, whether I buy it on release as I would like to, or if I buy it further down the line when I'm no longer saving for a camera...

But, if this thread was just about that it wouldn't get very big, would it! So, my proposal is for this thread to act as a hub for all the questions you wanted to ask regarding games, but were too afraid to ask! No question posted here will be considered stupid, everything is valid for discussion, as long as it's a question about games! Anyone is free to post a question, and anyone is free to post an answer if they know one. This can be the general knowledge base for the Gaming Discussion board, perhaps!

There is a sub for TSW. But here's a little secret that most none MMOers won't know, and I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but it sure has for me and a lot of my friends: The sub games end up saving you money.

I used to be very bored very easily, and when I did get bored I'd gleefully bike down to the local game store and see what's hot. When I found something of decent heat I'd cough up 50 bucks, finish the game, usually in about 10 hours, and be completely bored with it again.

Enter World Of Warcraft, my first serious MMO, And suddenly instead of getting a new game for 50 bucks each week, I was spending my gaming ours in this fanciful ongoing world for a mere 10 bucks a month.

That's my experience anyway, and since then a sub has never been a reason for me not to buy a game. I hope this helped, and good luck with your camera adventures.
