Hi. I'm writing a paper on paying real money for virtual goods,(before you ask, yes I was inspired by the smurfberry thing) and I need to do a quick fact check, so if any of you could answer these questions it would be a great help:

1. What is the cost of a tractor in Farmville translated into US$?
2. Does the term "Microtransactions" cover all instances of paying $ for in-game stuff, even if whatever you're buying is really expensive, like over $100?
3. Roughly what percentage of the crops/equipment/expansions/whatever in farmville can you earn in-game without paying a cent?
4. What is the most expensive single thing for sale in an in-game store?

If you could help me out that would be great. If anyone has any suggestions for things I should talk about in my paper all ideas are welcome. Also, to avoid forum spam from doing this a lot as I make progress, I'd like to get 1 or 2 people to be contacts who I can PM with my questions instead of making more of these posts.

1. Roughly $3.

2. Originally it meant tiny amounts of money for in-game content ("micro"transactions; coins in Farmville are a perfect example), but it now effectively stands for anything in-game you pay for.

3. Dunno; someone else will have to answer this one.

4. Probably <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropia_Universe>a space station in Entropia Universe: $330,000.
Edit: Another MMORPG called Planet Calypso had a resort sell for $630,000 altogether; the largest part for $335,000.
