[|spoiler='x']y[/spoiler]
First off remove the |(I put it in so the code would be broken)
x=message warning what the spoiler is about(leave single quotes)
y=spoiler

Without | it'll look like this:

y

Now do you people know how to use spoilers?I don't care if you can't find the ~ key on your keyboard if you can't use spoilers correctly, don't use them at all.

*Common misconseptions

Warning spoiler
is wrong

[sploier]y[/sploier] is wrong

spoilers do not go in the thread title

And then they were zombies isn't a proper spoiler

Or you could just read the posting guidelines...Which leads to this.

And why is this even in gaming discussion?

We don't have time to read the posting guidelines but we have time to read your thread? What?

This was done in too much haste, seeing as I already know how to use them, and can't figure out a fair bit of it.
For starters, how exactly does the ~ Key come into play?

I think the Escapist's official posting guidelines are a lot more helpful than this. Better luck next time, though!

I'm just saying some people don't even know where the tiddle key is, and I don't care because their inability to find it does not affect me. But this thread is mainly for those people making the L4D2 spoiler threads, seriously I'm sick of it. Saying *spoiler* in the title does not entitle you to post any spoiler you like.

That's like a wiki saying they have spoilers on the main page, and then posting all their spoilers on the first lines of every article.

Oh I also read the mark-up help, it's good but still with spoilers it should show people how to display the text where the default spoiler tag shows up, it shows it for the other tags why not this one?I've seen some people break their spoiler tags because they didn't put quotations in or other reasons
