If you open your map and hover your mouse around the different areas, it'll tell you what levels each zone is appropriate for. For 22, I think Ashenvale, Redridge Mountains, and Wetlands are some of the places to go. You can also google something like "world of warcraft levelling guide" to find a metric shit ton of guides to point you in the right direction. Just be advised that they're most likely going to be power levelling guides that will go more in depth than you even need.

Head to ashenvale and you can literally move right down Kalimdor and never leave the continent until 58.

On the map it tells you the leveling zones, my preference personally is:

20-25: Duskwood/Hillsbrad Foothils.
25-30: Arathi Highlands/Cape Of Stranglethorn.
30-35: Western Plaguelands.
40-45: Eastern Plaguelands.
45-50: Tanaris.
50-54: Un'Goro Crater.
54-58: Blasted Lands.

I suggest a new leveling zone for each character so you do not get bored as easy.

While I would suggest certain zones I love it's best to stick to the linear arrangement of Kalimdor.

Ashenvale 20-25
Stonetalon Mountains 25-30
Desolace, Dustwallow Marsh or Southern Barrens (I prefer the latter most) 30-35
Thousand Needles 40-45
Tanaris 45-50
Un'golo Crater 50-55
Silithus 55-58 (there just aren't that many quests to reach 60, so go to Outland at that point).

Fortunatley the Night Elves are significantly less retarded than they are on the Horde side, and I wish you luck.

go on, we will wait.

OT: I havent played since Burning Crusade, but I'm certain several quest chains end you up in area's that are same or higher level as you, then again I had severe MMO ADHD and would go off while doing a quest, only to come back and turn it in after gaining twenty levels more than it.
I'm trying to think of a reference other than spider dick and am failing horribly. I haven't read lfg in a while.

I haven't played an Alliance character in WoW in a very long time, so I can't help.
