OK, for my forensics class, we have to write a forensic story. In mine, I have the killer use a drug to immobilize his victims before he brutally murders them. Problem is, I have no idea why kind of drug does that.

Here's what I'm looking for:
-It has to be injectable (from a syringe/needle).
-It has to be able to cause paralysis all over the body.
-The person should still be conscious after being injected with said drug.

The above is what I'm looking for, but if such a drug doesn't exist, can you give me the next closest thing? Thanks.

If i recall there is a tropical fruit which you can eat that can put you into concious paralysis. The only time i have seen this was in a movie, so am sceptical in it's authentisity. The movie was Welcome to the Jungle, with Dwayne Johnson and Shaun Michael Scott. Unfortunately i don't recall the fruits name either.

Can't remember what it's called at the moment. But there are paralytic medications out there.

How do ya think people stay so still during surgery? It's not JUST anesthetics I can tell you that much. Being in the medical field, paralytics and anesthetics go in, one to knock 'em out, and one to keep them from moving at all.

There's one called Pancuronium: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancuronium_bromide

It's what they use in lethal injections in the US.

As an OR tech, we use epidurals in surgeries, it doesnt paralyze as it numbs the body, but that is very tricky to do, so your killer would have to be an anestesiologist to do that lol.

I'm certain that at least one kind of snake possesses some sort of neurotoxin that can cause non-permanent paralysis.

I'll look into it and get back to you.

ZOMBIE POWDER!!!!!!!!!

2-creates a death like state no movement
3-keeps concesness for whole time paralized

Yeah it puts you into a coma, and if mistakenly pronounced dead and is then buried, the brain damadge from being in a coffin without much air will produce what's called a voodoo zombie. It's in the zombie survival guide so it must be true. Same goes for you Liamlemon not concious, coma

LMAO...

Right. "Forensics class"...

It's okay, bud, I'm here for you.

Anywho, you'll want to make friends with the anti-venom industry because they have plentiful specimens of-- you guessed it-- actual working venoms. If you're dedicated, you will intern at such a place or make it part of your profession. Snakes, Spiders, and other such creatures have fast-acting paralyzing poisons, and your hypodermic needle will be your "fang". Your prey will be painfully aware of everything happening to him during the ritual you've prepared.

Make sure to chop the parts into small, individually wrapped pieces; bonus points for adding dissolving agents to the mix and/or removing teeth/hands/feet separately. Dispose appropriately. Your goal of course, is that it's never found, but be sure that if it is, the evidence will be unrecognizable.

Go with Christ, bro.

Watch Dexter, and your answers shall be solved. I believe in Season 2, they tell what drug he uses to immobilize his victims.

You may have looked it up, however Max Brooks did too and brought a book out on it. Did you?

Technically there would be not reason why Botox wouldn't work. All it does is paralize. You would need large doses and your murder mystery would be a lot more plausible becuase it's easier to get your hand on.

EDIT: Also he/she could have gotten his/her hands on bacteria Clostridia botulinum, which is what Botox is derived from, it would have more debilitating effects

I was just coming here to mention Dexter. I know he used a spinal epidural once so that the person wouldn't move and couldn't feel, but they were still awake. I think he also mentioned that he usually used a tranquilizer.
